SHRM - Morris County Chapter

Our Workforce Readiness team is committed to increasing the awareness of career path choices, job search support services and on-the-job success for individuals in need from all ages and backgrounds. Whether working with youth to discover career options, developing effective job search skills, developing on the job success skills for adults or providing workshops for family caregivers to confidently re-enter the workforce, we assist others in taking that critical next step in their career path.

If you’re looking for a new job or have a release date, we’re here to support you throughout your search.  We offer a range of services:

Transition Services are offered in collaboration with Kokopella Career & Business Consulting, an outplacement company founded by Maya Ollson and are free to MC SHRM chapter members in transition or those with a release date. Services are offered for a slight fee to any New Jersey HR Professional. The chapter also offers other services to support candidates looking for their next step:

  • Monthly Transition Support Group, the afternoon of each monthly dinner meeting
  • Speed Recruiting, interviewing with recruiters during the networking period, 5-6:15, prior to each dinner meeting
  • Job Openings, from recruiters and employers actively looking to fill current openings.

HRMA of Princeton

  • The HRMA of Princeton In-Transition Group meets monthly on the second Monday from 4:30pm - 5:30pm, just prior to the Chapter's regular dinner meeting, at the Hyatt Regency on Rte. 1, Princeton. There is no charge to attend. We alternate between speakers who present on topics of interest to HR professionals in transition and open networking. We host a Yahoo Group to post job openings in Human Resources. Go to yahoogroups and seek out HRMACIT or follow this link, HRMACIT. To join, you must have a Yahoo account.
