SHRM NJ, comprised entirely of volunteer leaders, is a professional organization supporting the Human Resources profession and the eleven Society for Human Resource Management chapters based in New Jersey.  Founded in 1987, its rich history laid the foundation for its evolution into an influential voice of the Human Resources profession in New Jersey.  Our Annual  Conference boasts the largest state gathering of human resources leaders and decision-makers.

SHRM NJ serves as the state-level affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management. It provides HR professionals in New Jersey with programs, conferences and more. It supports SHRM initiatives within the state, and also serves as an entry point for HR professionals new to New Jersey or for those in an area not covered by a local chapter.

Affinity Partner Expectations

An Affinity partner is expected to provide special services, discounts and support to state SHRM members, including our Chapters and/or the State Council.   The Affinity Partner’s support of both the State and Local Chapter initiatives is a necessary component for the success of the program.

SHRM NJ invites businesses and organizations who wish to be considered for the Affinity Partner program to contact Melissa Isman

In order for an Affinity Partner to be selected, a written proposal must be provided indicating the specific discount that will be offered and how membership in one of the eleven New Jersey SHRM-affiliated chapters will be verified.

Upon receipt of the proposal, the Membership Director of SHRM NJ will route through the voting members of GSC-SHRM and the eleven Chapter Presidents. If unanimously accepted, GSC-SHRM will adopt the Affinity Partner into the Affinity Partner Program.

Member Expectations

Chapter Members will be required to provide a certification to the Affinity Partner that they are a member of one of the eleven SHRM Chapters in NJ. The certification must be made in writing via email, facsimile or some other manner and must specify the name of the Chapter of which the person certifies they are a member.  Please share the information about the Affinity Partner Program with your Chapter members. 

Participation as an Affinity Partner is non-exclusive. Suggested Affinity Partners will also be reviewed by the SHRM NJ Chapter Presidents. Ultimately, the selection of an Affinity Partner is at the sole discretion of the SHRM NJ Elected Officers. The selection of an Affinity Partner is not an endorsement by the SHRM NJ.
